He wants the fifth year, doesn't he? I don't think Pek is worth $12 mil per for four or five years, but four is a heck of a lot better.
The Wolves hold 99% of the leverage here. The only thing that might sting is Pek takes the risk, signs the one year QO, and plays out this season and becomes a UFA next summer. Given his injury history, this is a HUGE risk for Pek and his agent and I can't see them doing it.
I'm really not worried about this situation and if he really doesn't want 4 years and $48 million, then let's find a team to S&T with.
