Here is our game thread for tonight's preseason game against the rebuilding Celtics.  Tonight's game is in Montreal and tips off at 6pm EST (self-reminder) and 5pm CT.  The game will be aired on NBA TV!

With a week off, the Twolves will either come out razor sharp or terribly slow, nothing in between.  I would expect the former the way Adelman ripped into the team after last weekend's game.

What will you be looking for in tonight's game?

15 minutes away from tip-off!  Let's go Wolves!

Main thought going into tonight's game …

  1. I'm looking to see limited minutes from Love and Pek, an outside jumper from Rubio, & net-positives from DWill or Bazz. #Twolves #Tpups

Wolves open up with Rubio, Martin, Williams, Love, and Pekovic.

Zgoda reports Adelman will start Williams tonight and 'someone else' in the next preseason game.  So Williams has the keys to the car right now / tonight.  Can he make the most of it?

At the half, the Twolves are up 57-51 in an entertaining half of basketball.  Love and Martin owned the 1st quarter, the former finishing the half with 16 points, Martin stuck on 11 (he had that at the end of 1).

Rubio came alive in the 2nd quarter, and has 6-4-3-1-1, but 3 TO's.

All in all, a good … healthy … half of basketball.  Unless you want to count this godforsaken siren playing in the background.  That isn't healthy.  For anyone.

Twolves beat the Celtics 104-89.  A few quick thoughts:

1. Kevin Love and Kevin Martin are ready to go this season!

2. Ricky Rubio's jumper looks better and he hit several jumpers tonight.  (Thank you!)

3. Brewer would be a question mark tonight, as he looked like 2009 Brewer – rushing around w/ no real purpose, missing jump shots and FT's … someone tell him he doesn't need to play like he did back in his first stint with the team.

4. Short rotation for most of the game, looking forward to seeing how the others perform later this week (the rookies, the guys fighting for the last spot or two on the roster, etc.)

Let's go Wolves!!
